In order to promote reading as an ongoing pastime, the Wichita Falls Public Library is pleased to announce the Reading Patch Club.

This year-round reading club is meant for children who are reading on their own.  Participants read from specific areas of interest in order to receive a particular embroidered patch.  (Please, only one of each patch per child). Children are encouraged to read books on their own reading level. Suggested titles for various categories are available in the Youth Area.  Pick up your reading logs at the Youth Desk.

For those children who aren’t reading alone just yet, we are pleased to offer two special patches.  Children and their caregivers can earn these badges by completing a reading log showing 50 books that have been read together.
