The Wichita Falls Public Library Pet Memorial Fund was established as the result of cooperative effort between the library and the Faith City Kennel Club.  This program is a lasting way to remember a beloved pet or to honor a pet loving friend or family member.  Animal lovers, pet owners, or friends wishing to donate may pick up a form at the library or print a copy of the form and send a check (payable to Wichita Falls Public Library) to:

Pet Memorial Fund
Attn: Becky Morrison
Wichita Falls Public Library
600 11th Street
Wichita Falls, TX  76301

The purpose of the fund is to provide the library with a collection of books and other materials for children and adults on the care of pets.  Children's stories about animals are also included in this collection, in the hope that the care of and love for animals can be instilled in children.

A bookplate, listing the name of the pet or person to be memorialized and donor, is placed in the memorial book along with a spine label to identify that book or material as part of the Pet Memorial program.  Each time a book is given to honor a pet or a person, a page will be added to the Pet Memory book showing the name of the pet or person, name of the donor, and any personal information, pictures or poems the donor wishes to include.  The Memory Book will be permanently housed at the Library.

The minimum contribution for a book purchase, plate, and memorial is $25.00, but any and all contributions are appreciated.  Call Becky Morrison at 767-0868, ext 233 for details.
