The Wichita Falls Public Library offers several weekly storytimes, each geared towards a specific age group. These storytimes promote early literacy and Kindergarten readiness in young children through books, rhymes and activities.
Storytimes are offered on a drop-in basis, meaning that registration is not required. However, if you are a daycare or large group, please call ahead of time and let us know when you'll be coming so that we can have enough materials prepared.
Before coming to storytime we ask that you review our Storytime Guidlines and be sure your child is ready for storytime. Even though we prepare our storytimes for certain age groups each child is different and might not be up to the 1/2 hour program yet. We want this time to be a fun introduction to books and the library not something they dread!
Listed below are the storytimes that we currently offer:
Every Tuesday (except June, July, and August)
Every Wednesday (except June, July, and August)
Toddler Time is designed for toddlers ages 14 months to 35 months. During this program, we read short books, learn fingerplays, and action rhymes.
