Storytime

The Wichita Falls Public Library offers several weekly storytimes, each geared towards a specific age group. These storytimes promote early literacy and Kindergarten readiness in young children through books, rhymes and activities.
Storytimes are offered on a drop-in basis, meaning that registration is not required. However, if you are a daycare or large group, please call ahead of time and let us know when you'll be coming so that we can have enough materials prepared.

BABYGARTEN
January 10, 2013 to February 14, 2013

Activity Room
Babygarten is a storytime designed for our littlest patrons, babies ages 2 months to 14 months and their caregivers. During this program, we sing rhymes, read a short story, make a simple craft and have a free play period. Babygarten is a six week program that is offered seasonally: The fall session starts in September, the winter session starts in January, and the Spring session starts in April.
TODDLER TIME
January 9, 2013 to February 13, 2013
10:30 to 11:00 AM
Activity Room
Toddler Time is designed for toddlers ages 14 months to 35 months. During this program, we read short books, learn fingerplays, and participate in a short activity. Toddler Time is a new program for our library. It will start in January and last for six weeks. Toddler Time will resume in April.
PRESCHOOL STORYTIME
January 8, 2013 to May 21, 2013

Activity Room
Preschool Storytime is designed for children ages 3 years to 5 years. This storytime focuses on picture books, rhymes, activities, puppet shows and even the occasional iPad picture book app. Preschool Storytime is offered weekly throughout the school year.
