App access restored!
Saturday, March 30th, 2024The Wichita Falls Public Library App is available again!
Access Wichita Falls Public Library from your phone or tablet. Manage your account, search the catalogue, and reserve books.
If you downloaded the Wichita Falls Public Library app previously, you may need to visit the App store or Play store and click 'update' to update to the newest version.
Non-resident fee error
Friday, March 29th, 2024Attention:
Due to an error, the $25 non-resident renewal charge was added to all non-resident cards regardless of their expiration date and renewal status.
A fix for these extra charges is in progress.
If you have a non-resident library card, there is no need to take any action at this time.
Software migration in progress
Monday, March 25th, 2024It's finally here!
Please bear with us as we move the library database to a new software this week. Some links and features on our website will be broken temporarily during the changeover.
Additionally, we are closed Monday March 25th and will be closing at 5pm Tuesday and Wednesday, March 26th and 27th. Opening hours will return to normal Thursday March 28th.
As always, you can report broken links or website features using our Contact Us form.

New schedule for overdue notices
Wednesday, March 20th, 2024The following schedule for overdue notices will go into effect when we switch to our new library software system on March 26th.
1 day overdue
We will send a courtesy reminder that you have a 5-day grace period before late fines start accruing. Notifications will go out via email, phone, text, or mail, depending on the notification preferences you set up.6 days overdue
You will be sent a courtesy reminder and late fines will begin accruing.14 days overdue
You will be sent a final notification before being charged for replacement costs and lost processing fees.21 days overdue
Items are set to lost and you will be charged the full replacement cost of the item and a $5 lost processing fee per item.28 days overdue
Account Delinquency Process will begin. Your account and any linked accounts will be deactivated until all items are returned and/or all fines/fees are paid in full.This and other information about your library card can also be found on our Library Card FAQ page.
