The Wichita Falls Public Library provides the ability to securely pay fines and fees on your library account via credit card for most library customers. This SmartPay system uses your library card number and PIN number to retrieve details of your current fines and fees, allows you to select the items to pay, and securely charges your credit card.
The Wichita Falls Public Library is committed to the protection of all Library customers’ rights to privacy in the use of Library resources and discloses customer information to the customer only. Records of customer transactions are kept only as long as is required to collect administrative statistics and then are erased. Library records will only be disclosed under court order, subpoena, or warrant as outlined in the state statute, Texas Government Code, Section 552.124 and the surveillance provisions included in The USA PATRIOT ACT (Public Law 107-56).
The price of lost items will be refunded within 3 months of payment as long as the item is returned in good condition with a copy of the paid receipt. The processing fee will not be refunded. Refunds will be given by check from the City of Wichita Falls.
There will be a $1.00 convenience fee added to each credit card payment transaction.
- Please do not charge amounts under $2.00.
- Visa, MasterCard and Discover are accepted.
- The fines and fees will be cleared automatically during the payment process.
- A failed transaction may leave a pending charge on your account. These " pre-authorized " amounts normally clear within 24 hours.
